Hi Thanh! For families I would recommend staying in Sanur or Ubud. From either of these bases you can visit the whole island by car, although Ubud is closer to more sights and activities, while Sanur is more relaxed and has a beach. Booking hotels in multiple areas isn’t required, although it’ll give you a better taste of the different areas.

In either Sanur or Ubud, you can walk to restaurants, mini marts, and most other daily needs. For sightseeing, I would recommend hiring a private driver with a car. They will take you around for a full day to all the places you want to see in Bali.

I am traveling with a toddler (3 years old) and my niece (12 years old) with my mom (60 years old). Can you please advise where it’s best to stay so that we can visit all the places mentioned above? How is transportation? I have never been to Bali and would love to know what the easiest way to travel around and if I need to book multiple hotels for different places. Thank you!

Comment on How To Apply & Get An Indian e-Visa Online by David & Intan https://theworldtravelguy.com/evisa-india-how-to-get-an-india-tourist-visa-for-travel/#comment-10558 Mon, 15 Jan 2024 14:29:42 +0000 /?p=5464#comment-10558 In reply to Sylvia.

Hi Sylvia, in that case you can answer “No” for the question “Have you ever visited India before?” because they’re asking if you’ve visited India on a visa before, and you haven’t. You were a citizen and resident, not a visitor. They should be able to understand this since you will list your country of birth as India on page 2 of the application, and also when they ask “Did You Acquire Nationality By Birth Or By Naturalization?” you can put Naturalization.

I have a question on section “Previous Visa/Currently Valid Visa Details”. I have traveled to India multiple times, but as an Indian citizen and held an Indian passport. Now I am no longer Indian citizen and applying for India Tourist visa for first time. What do I click in this “Previous Visa/Currently Valid Visa Details” section’s “Have you ever visited India before?”

Hi. That would be a monitor lizard, which looks kind of similar to a Komodo dragon, but a bit smaller. They are fairly common in Bali and always fun to see. 🙂

As I was walking in Seminyak, which is near the shops, I saw a massive Komodo dragon in one of the streams that are between two buildings. It was walking pretty fast and I couldn’t take a pic but yea I think there are Komodo dragons in Bali just very rare. That was crazy tho
